Let Me Ask You A Question

A special thanks for the Divas for letting me come by to celebrate my new release, WITHIN A CAPTAIN’S TREASURE!!

So I wanted this post to be original and exciting. Something new. So I turned to my fans and asked for original interview questions. Hmmm….this may have been a mistake.

I should have learned my lesson when a year or so ago I was writing and was trying to come up with a scent. An intoxicating smell of a women. (Picture Al Paccino saying “HoooYa!”) So I asked. Men. On my Facebook page. “What is your favorite scent on a woman?”

I was shocked. Do you have any idea what the number one answer was? Come on think… Men. Women. Scent.

Would you believe BACON?!?

You read that right…bacon! I mean, come on! Bacon? Want to know what the number two answer was? Gun oil….  I have no words… I’m wondering if the perfume people know about this!? Say we come up with a new cologne… Call it “Bazooka Bacon?” “Rifle Rasher?” We’d be millionaires!

But, I digress…  Back to my original point. I imagine enough time had passed that I’d forgotten how unpredictable folks can be, so I asked them again. What original questions about me or the books would they’d like answered. I got a couple fairly straight forward responses, nothing too original—what was my favorite romance book? Were any of my characters like people I’ve met? But, of course, I got a couple doozies! Like what color socks was I wearing, and another about lesbians.

I love my readers and my fans. They are loyal to a fault, love my work, and crack me up! They’re crazy and I think we share a funny bone, because I think I crack them up too. It’s only when I try to get them to be serious doe it resemble something akin to cat wrangling or nailing Jello to a tree. But I wouldn’t trade them for anything. I treasure each and every one. They are the reason I do this. They are the reason I’m thrilled to bring them yet another release today.

I really hope they continue to love my Captain’s of the Scarlet Night series and enjoy book number two, WITHIN A CAPTAIN’S TREASURE. I hope they laugh in all the right places!

Oh, and just for the record, here in New England it is over 45 degrees and the snow has stopped falling, which means, I’m not wearing socks! And regarding the lesbians…that’s a different book entirely!
