Time Travel Romance
Tessa is having one of those days. Nothing seems to go right, especially when she finds out her Mr. Right is a real Mr. Wrong. The only bright spot is when her best friend, Libby, tells her she found “the castle.” An orphan, Tessa's only memory from her early childhood is of a medieval castle overlooking a river.
She captured every detail in a painting she created from her memories. When Libby offers to pay for Tessa's trip to England to visit the real castle, Tessa jumps at the chance.
But not all is what it seems. Before her journey's end, Tessa will face betrayal, confusion and shock, attempted murder and a soul deep, passionate love that will defy time.
Ms. VerSteeg's story starts off a little slow, but gradually builds steam as readers uncover each layer of deception. Tessa is likeable and easy to relate to. The hero, Eric, is nicely crafted and a perfect match for Tessa.
But my favorite character by far, was the villain. In Gretchen, Ms. VerSteeg's raw talent as a writer truly shines . Another Place, Another Time is good first book by a developing young writer.
