An erotic futuristic e-book
King Marcus Blood Axe was thirty-five years old and lonely. At an early age, it was his right as king to be offered the most beautiful maiden of any village. A shortage of fertile women made this the ultimate sacrifice, but if an heir was produced, they would receive the ultimate reward! After countless years with nothing to show for it, who would have thought he would get bored! Him! He loved women, adored them. Yet, the older he got, the more he wanted to find that one special woman. He wanted what his parents had valued so highly. With each year passed, it seemed unlikely. Until she fell from the sky as if in answer to his prayers.
Rudely awakened from stasis sleep, Douglass Fraser had only minutes to brace for impact with an uncharted planet. In pain and confused from the crash, she thought her fevered mind had conjured him, the giant warrior who came to her rescue. Dressed as a Viking? Awake after weeks of covalence, Douglass found herself surrounded by men. Three men who claimed to be her servants, there to fulfill her every need. Her much overdue vacation from the Parcel Service had arrived -with benefits! Even as she indulged, she could not help picture the man who haunted her dreams, her rescuer. Where the hell was he?
The next day, the fantasy became surreal when she learned she was to become the King's consort, a highly prized and valued position. The instant Douglass glimpsed him, her mysterious Viking, any objection she thought to make evaporated. As political problems arose and the planets trouble came to her attention, Douglass cannot help but sympathize. The intrigue pulled her idyll world apart and brought back the harsh realities of life. To survive, tough decisions were to be made. To stay together, harsh sacrifices were needed. Yet, try as they might, the consequences of each choice could ultimately tear both their worlds apart.
Planet Mail grabbed my attention from the first. Talk about steamy! The story seemed to slow a bit after the opening, lots of sex and very little conversation. That quickly changed after a few pages, effortlessly combining both to make this a very sensual and enjoyable read. By the end of the book… hold onto your seats, folks! What a great wrap up! I loved it. Not only did the characters pull me into the drama, the tension increased and picked up speed all the way ‘til the end. And can you say yummy men? Umm… ah, I mean I enjoyed watching each character grow. I highly recommend picking up a copy of your own and find out for yourself.
