Tracy Warden is on pack business representing Cascadia Clan in a mediation when she meets Nick Lawrence, Enforcer for Pacific Pack. Despite coming from different packs, their bond is quick and true, and before the meeting is over, they are mated.
Things become a bit more complicated when Tracy must form her anchor bond. Gabe Murphy volunteers for the job. At first not sure what has happened, Tracy is stunned to find out she has formed a rare tri-mate bond. Soon the three of them are struggling to find balance as they learn to live together. Their struggle takes a turn towards deadly as mobsters, deception and pack betrayal turn family members into enemies.
Lauren Dane has outdone herself with Tri Mates, the latest book in her rich and sensual world of werewolves. Complex layers of desire and danger make this installment a true page-turner. Several old friends from the earlier Cascadia wolf books make up the supporting cast, but Ms Dane has found terrific balance between reminding us why we loved these people before but letting Tracy, Nick, and Gabe step into the forefront of this book.
Tracy is a deeply likeable heroine. Strong enough to stand up to both her men, she knows when to be tough and when to let them be the boss - during the many heated and delectable love scenes. Nick and Gabe are intensely Alpha, entirely delicious, and either alone would have made for a memorable hero. Giving Tracy - and readers - both of these men at once turns Tri Mates into a book that will stay on my keeper shelf for a long, long time.
I can't wait for the chance to visit the Cascadia Wolves again!
