We’d known each other for a few years. I had always found him very attractive and always had the feeling he found me attractive too, but I thought, being so much older, that I was just imagining things. I was not! Now, I am far from a cougar. I don’t go after young men … I don’t go after men at all, for that matter. But the young man did indeed go after me. The funny thing is, since then I’ve realized lots of younger men have been, and continue to be, interested in me. I was oblivious before, just because of my own preconceived notions that men like younger women.

I find everyone is ok with our relationship except young women. I suspect it’s because young women feel they should be the desired ones, not me – I think they feel ripped off that he is with me.
